Concussion in Australian Grid Iron – Links with Mental Health

The study incorporated a tailored protocol of assessments to further investigate the relationship between the number of medically sustained concussions with cognitive ability and well-being in a cohort of Australian gridiron players. The results may have the potential to be implemented into return-to-play guidelines and increase the likelihood of ‘safe play’, afford players and coaches with increased understanding of the risks involved in sustaining a concussion, and greater scope to raise the rate of reporting of suspected concussions.

A Virtual Peer – Enhancing Youth Mental Health and Memory

An innovative memory and wellbeing support app that has been specifically designed for use by children and adolescents using a virtual reality peer.   This study assesses the efficacy of the app and reveals the improved self reported autobiographical memory and wellbeing of a 17 year old girl living with chronic memory impairment.
