Workforce & Leaders Mental Health Research - An Australian-first national project
The Resources and Energy Industry Workforce and Leaders Mental Health Research collected data from more than 1100 employees offering unprecedented insights into psychological safety – stress, anxiety, depression, alcohol use and sleep issues.
The psychological safety research, an Australian-first mental health national research project covering the mining, oil and gas, and allied service sectors of the resources industry was developed and undertaken by Dr Janine Cooper, Dr Peter Saunders and Catherine Knott as specialist psychology firm Mindshape in collaboration with the Australian Resources and Energy Group (AMMA).
DELWP Emergency Responders: Evaluating the risks to mental health and cognition
In external collaboration with the Victorian State Government’s Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP), Dr Janine Cooper and colleagues examined the psychological safety and cognitive function of emergency responders in Victoria.
The study revealed areas of psychological safety that required further investigation and recommendations for enhancing mental health and wellbeing were provided.
